The 2017 SCGFC Spring Shootout has been run and won. Congratulations to the team on Site Office for taking out the win. 27 boats, 12 Juniors and 78 Senior Anglers took part in this year’s Shootout and whilst Day 1’s weather was great, Day 2 left a bit to be desired. Champion Team Reel Action at Hervey Bay GFC comp.

A quick recap of the Hervey Bay comp that was hosted at the start of November.  With 44 boats in attendance it was the second biggest comp in QLD in years, second only to the Cairns 50th anniversary comp, not a bad effort for a club that has on average 50 actual members.  The draw card is the location, scenery and yes the fishing at times can be out of this world....
